MAV Bash kicks off a fantastic school year

The 2026–27 school year is off to a wonderful start at Maize South Intermediate School, and one of the biggest highlights of the beginning of the year was our annual MAV Bash.

MAV Bash is a special tradition and serves as the first big celebration of the school year. Students and families gathered for an evening of fun, laughter and time together with friends and other members of the Maverick community. Families enjoyed free hot dogs and cookies, played games and took advantage of the many inflatables throughout the evening.

While there was plenty of fun happening all around the event, one of the biggest attractions was the raffle and silent auction. Students and families eagerly placed their tickets into raffle baskets and competed for a variety of exciting silent auction opportunities.

Some of the most popular items this year included front-row parking spots for drop-off and dismissal, the opportunity for students to play in a 3-on-3 basketball game against three staff members, and the chance to serve as Principal for the Day or Assistant Principal for the Day. These special opportunities created plenty of excitement and friendly competition throughout the evening.

The success of MAV Bash would not be possible without the incredible support of our families and community partners. We are so thankful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and helped make the evening such a success.

A very special thank-you goes to the Maize South Intermediate School PTO for putting this wonderful event together and helping create such a fun and memorable evening for our students and families. We are grateful for the time, energy and dedication they put into making MAV Bash a success each year.

We are also especially grateful to the many local businesses and families who generously donated items for our raffle baskets and silent auction. Their generosity helps make this event possible and provides our students and families with an experience they look forward to each year.

MAV Bash was a wonderful way to bring our Maverick community together and officially kick off another great year at Maize South Intermediate School. We are already looking forward to next year's celebration and all the exciting things ahead for our Mavs!
