Mav Bash 3-on-3 showdown brings the competition

Mav Bash brought plenty of excitement to Maize South Intermediate School, but one of the silent auction opportunities brought a little extra smack talk, a lot of competition, and even more excitement!

The 3-on-3 basketball experience had two lucky student winners, one 5th grader and one 6th grader. Each student got to build their own team of three for a friendly competition against three staff members: Mrs. Hamilton, Mr. Truitt, and Mr. Buchanan.

First up was the 5th grade team, The Rebels. They gave the staff team a serious run for their money in an intense game that kept everyone watching. When the final play was over, The Rebels came through with the win!

Next came the 6th grade team, The Spicy Pickles. They kept the competition interesting from start to finish and ultimately snagged the win at the very end!

It was a fun opportunity to break up the school day, bring students and staff together, and give our students the chance to show their teachers what they were made of. The competition was spirited, the bragging rights were earned, and the staff definitely had to work hard to keep up!

A huge thank you to the Maize South Intermediate School PTO for providing this awesome opportunity and helping make Mav Bash such a memorable event for our students and staff!
